I finshed writing an article for the Empty Closet, our local GLBT paper. It was submitted last Tuesday, and I got an e-mail the next day. Here it is:

Dear Anita Cameron,

Thanks for the article, which we’d like to include in the Sept. EC. Since columns usually have photos of the writers, and since we’re full up on columns for Sept. anyway, I thought we could run this as an op/ed piece in section A.

In future, we can run a monthly column, once we have your photo and a name for the column. We will also be able to allow for more space in future issues — whereas we are pretty far along with the Sept. issue at this point!
